As we all know, life is full of lessons and if there’s one tip I can share with you it’s to learn to live like a local when you’re away from home. To find the best local foodie treats just stick with me! When cocktails come to mind, you might think about a fresh morning Mimosa or a perky, late afternoon margarita. I’m happy to share with you my favorite Tybee cocktail. It’s the super delicious Shrimp Cocktail at Stingray’s!
Now, I could go on and on about how there’s not a bad choice on their menu. Other highlights for me are the Sting Wings, the Shrimp or Oyster Po-Boys and their heaping sides of sausage and red potatoes, but sometimes I just want something light that showcases the best of the seafood from our Tybee waters…the Shrimp Cocktail. On days like today, I just love sitting outside in the fresh air and savoring the sweetness of the jumbo Shrimp lined around the rim of a cocktail glass. I’m also very particular about how cocktail sauce should compliment the shrimp and Stingray’s cocktail sauce is the best I’ve found. During the middle of the day I don’t need much else to enjoy this special treat, but when cold libations come to mind you can bet their full bar is stocked with every kind of libation you’d like!
Stingray’s is open every day from 11 a.m. until it’s not and there’s both inside and outside seating with lots of live entertainment throughout the week. Whether you’re watching a big game, enjoying one of Tybee’s famous parades or just laughing it up with friends, Stingray’s is a fun place to be. Just like the rest of Tybee, it’s a great place to live like a local and to watch the world pass by.
