Dishin’ It With Joy: Zunzi’s Serves It Up Big!
With all this fabulous coastal weather, who wants to stay inside? Not me and my Tybee friends!
On a recent foray into Savannah, our little group of buds and gals spent the afternoon sharing oohs and ahs over the abundance of azaleas and hydrangeas that had popped out their blooms, signaling the start of Spring. The show of flowers and blooms was so spectacular, we worked up a healthy appetite while scurrying around the squares to take it all in.
Our trail of discovery lead us right up to Zunzi’s Takeout & Catering. What better way to cap off our tour of fresh flowers than to drop in on Zunzi’s freshly prepared international cuisine. Their menu is as exotic as the combination of Spring colors in downtown Savannah. Owners Johnny and Gabriella have expertly blended their backgrounds of Swiss, Italian, South African and Dutch into a unique and delicious buffet of palette delights.
Just waiting in line is an experience unto itself because everyone was talking out loud about what they were going to have and they were more than gracious in making recommendations to us first-timers. When it was our turn to order, the very friendly staff seemed genuinely excited to let us sample various dishes and they were eager to answer our questions. I don’t mind admitting the sights and aromas made us throw caution to the wind and we were not fazed by the more than generous helpings of each dish we selected.
