I’m hanging out with Ocean Conservancy and LandShark Lager this summer during the Fin-tastic Voyage where I’ll be cleaning beaches and learning to paddle-board. Come on out! http://ocean.ly/IQl30A
The July 14 event is in beautiful and historic Tybee Island, GA. Here are the details for this Saturday’s event:
- * The Cleanup will be held at Tybee Island beach just south of the Tybee Beach Pier and Pavillion on the beach.
- * The Cleanup begins at 9:00 a.m. and goes until 11:30 a.m. Please arrive for the cleanup promptly at 9:00 a.m.
- * Stick around afterward for a fun afternoon of paddle-boarding and other exciting activities!
It’s not too late to sign up, and we welcome newcomers on the day of the event, so tell your friends and family about the Fin-tastic Voyage and ask them to come out and join the fun.
Now, how should I color-coordinate my outfit for paddle-boarding? Call me! It’ll be Fin-Tastic!
Knock, Knock…Who’s There? Uh, Candygram…No, it’s not the land shark from Saturday Night Live. It’s Landshark Fin-Tastic Voyage!
LandShark Fin-Tastic Voyage is coming to Tybee Island on Sat. July 14th. LandShark Lager and Ocean Conservancy have teamed up for the LandShark Fin-tastic Voyage, a beach cleanup and stand-up paddle boarding coastal tour. This series of beach cleanups and events encourages and spreads awareness to keep our coasts clean, clear and trash-free. Beach cleanup begins at 9:00 a.m. and lasts until 11:30 a.m. Afterwards, enjoy a fun afternoon of stand-up paddle-boarding and other exciting beach adventures.
Ocean Conservancy’s mission states, “Grocery bags … bottles … cigarette butts … wrappers and straws. They don’t fall from the sky; they fall from human hands. And what’s washed up on the shore is only a fraction of what ends up in the water. Big change has to come from big places. That’s why we’re teaming up with businesses to change practices that lead to garbage on our beaches and waterways and to involve their employees in cleanups. Together, our efforts mean that next year we hope to pick up fewer pounds of garbage. With the hands-on help of people like you, we’re restoring the health and beauty of our beaches and waterways.”
This is a wonderful way to enjoy a socially responsible vacation and you’ll have lots of fun on the paddle boarding, too! All year round, our Tybee Beautification Association works tirelessly to clean our beaches and to keep Tybee tidy, so it’s a special treat to have Landshark Lager and Ocean Conservancy come visit. I just happen to have just the right socially responsible vacation rentals to make your stay complete. Give me a call, come spend some time in my flip-flops and enjoy a socially responsible vacation on beautiful Tybee Island. It’s a very special place for environmentally conscious folks like you!
