Knock, Knock…Who’s There?  Uh, Candygram…No, it’s not the land shark from Saturday Night Live.  It’s Landshark Fin-Tastic Voyage!

LandShark Fin-Tastic Voyage is coming to Tybee Island on Sat. July 14th.  LandShark Lager and Ocean Conservancy have teamed up for the LandShark Fin-tastic Voyage, a beach cleanup and stand-up paddle boarding coastal tour. This series of beach cleanups and events encourages and spreads awareness to keep our coasts clean, clear and trash-free. Beach cleanup begins at 9:00 a.m. and lasts until 11:30 a.m. Afterwards, enjoy a fun afternoon of stand-up paddle-boarding and other exciting beach adventures.

Ocean Conservancy’s mission states, “Grocery bags … bottles … cigarette butts … wrappers and straws. They don’t fall from the sky; they fall from human hands. And what’s washed up on the shore is only a fraction of what ends up in the water.  Big change has to come from big places. That’s why we’re teaming up with businesses to change practices that lead to garbage on our beaches and waterways and to involve their employees in cleanups. Together, our efforts mean that next year we hope to pick up fewer pounds of garbage. With the hands-on help of people like you, we’re restoring the health and beauty of our beaches and waterways.”
