In My Flip-Flops: Tybee Days Of Fun!

Come spend several days in my flip-flops!
Normally, I would invite you to spend a day in my flip-flops just to experience a bit of the wonderful island life on Tybee. However, it’s spring and there’s so much going on you’ll need to plan to spend several days in my flip-flops! But, don’t worry. I’ve got plenty, so grab your family and friends, come on down and slide right in!
Third Thursdays On Tybee
Yep, a sure sign that Spring is here is when everyone gets together on the third Thursday of each month to stroll, shop, sit and listen to music! This Thursday, April 19, come on over to the Tybee Oaks Shopping Center for a listener’s delight with Chris Desa from 5:30-7 PM. Chris will be serenading us with his guitars and auto-harps that will have you swaying with our island breezes!
Next, be sure to get those beach strolls in to prepare for the Tybee Turtle Trot on April 28. It’s the 8th annual 5K Tybee Beach Run to help us raise funds to kick off the Tybee Island Sea Turtle Project and to celebrate the beginning of Coastal Georgia’s sea turtle nesting season. After the race, the GEORGIA SEA TURTLE CENTER is releasing a Loggerhead Sea Turtle patient back to the ocean! You’ll also have a chance to meet their mascot Scute and learn all about sea turtles at the GSTC’s Education Station located in front of the Science Center.
Also on April 28, be a part of the YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day and ride your bikes to the Bike Rodeo where your children (and you!) can learn about bicycle skills and safety.
This is all within the next week, but it still leaves plenty of time to just enjoy fun in the sun, eat lots of fresh seafood and let the rest of the world pass you by. And, don’t worry about wearing out my flip-flops! There’s plenty more where they come from. So, come on down and let’s find just the right ones for you!
